As a teacher I have taught all levels of learners, beginner through college. The clinics at my undergrad alma mater (Dayton) we’re praised by tenured faculty to be some of the best the school had ever had.  Locally, I have served as a clinician at several schools in the Bay: St. Ignatius, Aragon High, El Camino, and the Menlo School to name a few.  And finally, a recent student of mine won his concerto contest at his arts magnet school and will be attending The New School in New York City on partial scholarship.

To highlight, I have earned a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Post Masters Performance diploma all in music performance from top university and conservatory programs—University of Dayton, DePaul, and SFCM.  I also held a tenured position with the Boise Philharmonic from 2011-2017 and have built a freelance performance career over the last 10 years which includes subbing on multiple occasions with the San Francisco Symphony.

I am passionate about teaching my students to learn this craft fully, and my method is based on attention to fundamentals and guiding the individual practice process.  For example: I help students learn scales, develop a great sound and technique, teach them solos and etudes, and I can also help tutor them on band music if they need help.

Please let me know if you have any further questions, or if you would like to schedule a lesson to see if I’m a good fit for your child.  I look forward to meeting you!
