  • Musician for over 25

  • Music teacher for almost 20 years at Music Village

  • Lessons for ages 6 and up.

  • Music styles: Rock, Blues, Theory, Note Reading and Tablature

  • Philosophy: I try to keep lessons fun and exciting. Whether you are brand new to the guitar/bass or have been playing for a while, your ultimate goal is to enjoy playing your instrument. In over 15 years of teaching I have found that the best way to enjoy playing music (and also enjoy teaching it) is by playing with others. The #1 goal is to turn on the drum machine and trade off playing rhythm & lead guitar with my students. Whether it’s strumming the chords to Mary Had a Little Lamb, playing the melody to Jingle Bells or hammering out the solo to Hotel California it is a great experience when the student finally gets it and we lock in and start rockin’ together.

  • Musical Education: Self Taught & Private Lessons

  • Musical Influences: So hard to define . . . here are some albums that have been worn out by me over the years. Santana Live at the Filmore 1968, One Hot Minute by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tres Hombres by ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin I, A Crow Left of the Murder by Incubus, Ritual De Lo Habitual by Jane's Addiction, Electric Ladyland by Hendrix, Ride the Lightning by Metallica, Nevermind by Nirvana, Vs. by Pearl Jam, Let It Bleed/Beggars Banquet by Rolling Stones, 40 to Freedom - Sublime

  • A musical quote... Music is such a powerful form of expression which defines moments in everyone’s life. It is exciting to give the gift of music and share a passion with my students.
