I have experience teaching all ages, from 1st graders to seniors.

I recognize and respect the uniqueness of each student. My primary mission is to foster a love of music & learning in my students. The curriculum I choose skillfully weaves the artistic and technical aspects of music and violin playing into each lesson. Students learn to follow their curiosity, to think creatively, and to play independently and musically with others.

In addition to playing modern violin, I also play and study baroque violin. I have studied with some of the best performers in the area and in the US. I welcome anyone who is interested in learning this wonderful style.

I have 25 -years performing experience and have been teaching violin for the past 17 years at many locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Monterey Bay Area. I am very happy to now join the faculty of Music Village.

I started my musical training when I was eight and I hold a BA from San Jose State University and a MA from the University of San Francisco. I am also a fully credentialed teacher in the State of California. I have played with, and served as concertmaster with many orchestras and ensembles in the Bay Area, including the Redwood Symphony, Nova Vista Symphony, the San Jose State University Symphony and Chamber Ensemble. I have also appeared as guest violinist with many early music ensembles throughout the Bay Area and the United States.
